Elif Andac-Jones, PhD

Founder/Director

Dr. Elif Andac-Jones is the Founder and Director of Scientia.  She's a Political Sociologist with an expertise in Research Methods.  She has been conducting research and providing consulting services internationally since 1993. She taught techniques and led qualitative and mixed methods projects in 16 countries on 4 continents; designed and managed multiple impact, outcome, process evaluation and assessment projects for international clients, with published results in academic journals; her experience in Market and B2B Research includes leading research design, data collection, analysis and team management on projects for companies looking to invest or operating in Eurasian markets, with a focus on identifying market trends.  
Dr. Andac-Jones has a PhD (2007) and MA (2001) from University of Washington.  In addition to her consulting services, she has been teaching undergraduate and graduate courses on Political Sociology, Social Movements, Globalization and Social Change, Research Methods, and Middle East.  She has been teaching at Georgetown University Department of Sociology since 2015, and previously taught at the University of Kansas, University of Washington and Bogazici University.  She speaks Turkish and French.
